Orders
Title to the goods will pass to you on delivery, together with the risk of damage or loss. In the event of a product being faulty in workmanship upon receipt, please contact Lovell Johns who will arrange for a replacement or refund.
Please check for Damage. Many items are shipped via Royal Mail, however some items, for example larger wall maps, are shipped via courier. If your product does arrive by courier please ensure you inspect goods for damage prior to signing for them. If the packaging or product is damaged please do not accept it from the courier or alternatively please sign for the item as damaged. Please contact us to let us know if any item, whether delivered by the Royal Mail or Courier, is damaged within 24 hours of taking delivery. If taking delivery on a Saturday, please note our offices are closed on Saturday and Sunday. In this instance please either contact us here over the weekend or call us on Monday. Please note: to check the actual map for damage you will need to remove it from the package. Unfortunately occasionally damage occurs to the map when the packaging looks in good condition. If you'd like to know how your product will be shipped then just call us on 01993 880 939.
Orders that are shipped to countries outside the UK may be subject to import taxes, customs tariffs, and fees levied by the destination country. These charges are the customer’s responsibility and will be billed by the delivery company or your local delivery office. We have no control over these charges and are unable to estimate them. Tariffs are not included in the final price at the time of your order; for an estimate of these fees, which vary by region, contact the customs office in your area.
Security
Lovell Johns uses WorldPay, PayPal, Amazon Pay and Apple Pay for the management of online payments.
Security is probably one of the most significant concerns for both the shopper and the retailer during an online transaction. In reality an online transaction is probably more secure than a card transaction in a shop or conducted over the telephone or by fax, as the information transmitted online is highly encrypted using complicated logarithm combinations.
Transaction Encryption
During the transfer from Lovell Johns’ site to one of our payment providers, the purchase details are encapsulated using an encrypted and digitally-signed protocol. This uses a combination of standard methods such as PGP, RSA and MD5 to ensure that the information passed is secure and tamper-proof.
Security for the Shopper
Any communication between the shopper and our payment providers is also encrypted to the maximum strength supported by the shopper's browser using TLS or 128 Bit SSL. Shoppers are also protected from fraudulent use of their card in a "card not present" environment, by their card issuers. The card issuers provide the right for a shopper to dispute a transaction if the goods/services did not arrive or if the card was used fraudulently.
